Hi, research_ED attendees!

Hi, there!  Thanks for attending my session on reading comprehension!  I want to make sure you get a ton from the experience, so I’m linking below the resources I referenced:

  • The first chapter of Love & Literacy is free at this link.  I do trainings for schools who are interested. (And I’ll run a FREE 30-minute Q&A for any school that uses Love & Literacy in a book study (questions are included with the book!)
  • Here’s is the Reading for Claim one-pager: both a simple and complex version.  You could read about this approach in HWRK magazine, if you wish!
  • Looking for a fluency protocols and prompts?  Here are some I’ve been experimenting with.
  • Want to read up on knowledge building?  Check out my blog post with InnerDrive something that should help.
  • Video more your thing?  You can see me chatting with Myatt & Co. here.  (And of course, Love & Literacy comes with videos of great instruction!)
  • Also check out Gram and Gran Save the Summer: solve-it-yourself children’s mystery fiction designed to teach media literacy skills.  Media literacy is literacy, after all.
